Scope of this policy
This privacy policy applies to information we collect when you use Bootstrap Office, our website, and when you communicate with us. It explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
Bootstrap Office is operated by Bradburnicus LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.
Important legal notice for Georgia voter data
⚠️ Legal Requirement:
In accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-601, any person who uses the list of electors provided for in O.C.G.A. § 21-2-225 for commercial purposes shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
Voter data accessed through Bootstrap Office may ONLY be used for campaign purposes. Commercial use is strictly prohibited and may result in criminal prosecution.
What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here's what we collect and why:
Identity & access
When you sign up for Bootstrap Office, we ask for identifying information such as your name and email address. This is so you can personalize your account and we can send you service updates. We'll never sell your personal info to third parties, and we won't use your name or email in marketing statements without your permission.
Website interactions
We log requests to our servers for debugging, security monitoring, and customer service purposes. These logs include your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, and timestamps. We keep these logs for up to 90 days.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in to your account. These session cookies are necessary for the application to function properly. We do not use any tracking cookies or remarketing cookies. We use Umami, a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics service, to understand aggregate site traffic (pages visited, referrers, and general actions like clicking a button). Umami does not use cookies, does not store personally identifiable information, and does not track you across other websites.
Billing information
We do not process payments directly through Bootstrap Office. Invoices are sent separately, and you can pay via check or through our payment processor Stripe (for ACH, debit, or credit card payments). When you pay through Stripe, they handle your payment information according to their privacy policy. We never see or store your full credit card details.
Voter data access
The voter history and election data available in Bootstrap Office is public information primarily obtained from the Georgia Secretary of State. This data is provided by us - you do not upload your own voter data. Access to this data is controlled based on your account's subscription status.
Voluntary correspondence
When you email us with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so that we have a history of past conversations to reference if you reach out in the future.
When we access or disclose your information
To provide products or services you've requested. We use your information to authenticate you and provide you access to voter data based on your subscription level.
To help you use our products. We may access your account to help you troubleshoot or resolve issues.
To investigate security incidents or violations of our terms. We may review usage patterns to identify and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal requirements. We may preserve or disclose your information if required by law, including in response to court orders, subpoenas, or other legal processes. We will seek legal counsel to ensure any disclosure is lawful and limited to what is required.
Your rights with respect to your information
At Bootstrap Office, we strive to apply the same data rights to all customers, regardless of their location. Some of these rights include:
- Right to know. You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct. You can update your account information at any time.
- Right to delete. You can request deletion of your personal account and data at any time by contacting us.
- Right to be notified. If a data breach occurs that may affect you, we will notify you promptly.
How we secure your data
All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted between your browser and our servers. Our application infrastructure is hosted on DigitalOcean's secure cloud platform with servers located in the Atlanta and New York regions of the United States.
We regularly review our security practices and update them as needed. Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel who need it to perform their job functions.
What happens when you delete your account
You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at admin@bootstrapoffice.com. When you delete your account, we'll permanently delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain it.
Data retention
Account data: We retain your account information for as long as you have an account with us. If you haven't accessed your account for one year, we may reach out to confirm if you want to keep it active.
Election data: Voter history and election information for the current election cycle is removed 2 weeks after any runoff elections are completed. Your login remains active for future election cycles, but previous campaign data will no longer be accessible.
Location of site and data
Our servers are operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the US, please be aware that any information you provide will be transferred to and stored in the US. By using Bootstrap Office, you consent to this transfer.
Shared accounts and team access
Bootstrap Office accounts can have up to 5 users for joint access to campaign data. Account owners can invite team members and manage their access. Team members can see shared campaign data but cannot modify account billing or delete the account.
Service providers
We work with the following third-party services to provide Bootstrap Office:
- DigitalOcean for hosting our servers and databases
- Postmark for sending transactional emails (like password resets)
- Stripe for payment processing (when you pay invoices online)
These providers have access only to the information necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect your data.
No selling of personal data
We do not and will not sell your personal data to anyone. We don't run ads or engage in any data brokerage business. Your data is your own.
Age restrictions
Bootstrap Office is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as needed to comply with relevant regulations and reflect any changes to our practices. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email. The updated policy will be effective immediately upon posting.
